| I stumbled across this song tonight for the first time, and was amazed to hear my prayer journal entries of this week being sung back to me. (The song is at the bottom of my playlist ---> if you want to hear it.) The Lord ministers to us in beautiful ways.
Grace
My heart is so proud. My mind is so unfocused. I see the things You do through me as great things I have done. And now You gently break me, Then lovingly You take me And hold me as my Father and mold me as my Maker. I ask You: "How many times will You pick me up, When I keep on letting You down? And each time I will fall short of Your glory, How far will forgiveness abound?" And You answer: "My child, I love you. And as long as you're seeking My face, You'll walk in the power of My daily sufficient grace." At times I may grow weak and feel a bit discouraged, Knowing that someone, somewhere could do a better job. For who am I to serve You? I know I don't deserve You. And that's the part that burns in my heart and keeps me hanging on. I ask You: "How many times will You pick me up, When I keep on letting You down? And each time I will fall short of Your glory, How far will forgiveness abound?" And You answer: "My child, I love you. And as long as you're seeking My face, You'll walk in the power of My daily sufficient grace." As I walk with You, I'm learning what Your grace really means. The price that I could never pay was paid at Calvary. So, instead of trying to repay You, I'm learning to simply obey You By giving up my life to You for all that You've given to me.
I ask You: "How many times will You pick me up, When I keep on letting You down? And each time I will fall short of Your glory, How far will forgiveness abound?" And You answer: "My child, I love you. And as long as you're seeking My face, You'll walk in the power of My daily sufficient grace." ~Words & Music by Laura Story~ | | |
| Love will find a way
"Are there those for whom we have long prayed for, who seem beyond our reach now? Love will find a way. Are we discouraged because we do not see our expected signs, and the solid rocks seem to be sinking under shifting sands? It is not so. Love is mighty and must prevail. Terrible in judgments, marvelous in loving-kindness, Love will find a way. ... In and out of the deep, dark places of heathendom--yes, and as truly amongst the garish lights of a Christendom that has lost its first warm love--wherever there is the least, the faintest response to Love, there Love will follow and find, for nothing in heaven or earth or under the earth is impossible to Love." (Amy Carmichael, in Mimosa, Who Was Charmed)
I just finished this incredible, challenging true story of a young Hindu girl, Mimosa, who heard one day of a God who loved her and lived from that day on in fellowship with Him, through hardship and adversity. I highly recommend it. It's a short read, but what it lacks in length, it makes up for in soul-stirring depth. "For God has other Mimosas."

| DWELL DEEP His thoughts said, My longing is to heal the broken and the weak, to defend the maimed, and to lead the blind unto the sight of the glory of the Lord, My choice is to be a corn of wheat and fall into the ground and die. Then why these waverings? His Father said, Too much of thy surface is exposed to the breath of every wind that bloweth. Thou must learn to dwell deep. And the Son who had wavered answered humbly, Renew within me a settled spirit. Establish me with Thy directing Spirit. My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed. I will sing and give praise.
